Accidents

England:

He was flustered by the laugh for he wondered if he was laughing at his expense but also relieved that he wasn’t all upset about the situation. That laugh did help forget the potential awkward tension lingering in the air. “That may be so but I couldn’t just sit there.” He defended sheepishly, looking away and folding his arms across his chest.

He had been calmed by the reassurance but as Alfred trailed off, he could feel the tension beginning to settle. Something he would not allow. “You don’t have a cat.” Arthur accused, sending him a questioning look. He could have played along, but that would be easy. “

“You should have trusted that I wouldn’t drop you,” he commented, still chuckling a bit awkwardly. His words, while a little accusing, weren’t harsh since if he was in Arthur’s shoes he couldn’t guarantee that he wouldn’t flail either. Alfred’s eyes, even after he could feel Arthur’s on him, looked everywhere but at the British man.

One thing was really weird though, and that was the fact that Arthur was actually protesting a little bit. He didn’t mind, at least he didn’t think he minded, but the action was still odd to say the least. “Sorry. I meant a dog to feed.” Already though he was moving to grab his keys.
