“I’m well aware of that,” She snapped, the anger already rising in her tone, “And I don’t need lessons from someone such as yourself, I can assure you.” Her gaze left his face, traveling downwards and towards the sword resting underneath his fingers.
“You’re in Clubs territory, and have just insulted it’s Ace – intentional or not. Are you aware of what you’ve done, now, boy?” The more she studied, the more it began to piece together just who this was, though she couldn’t be sure unless she asked(and that was as far fetched as having a normal greeting at this point.) “I know how to throw a knife, and can do so with perfect precision. Should I try on you? I’ll even pick a hard to see target – between your legs should do.”
As soon as she stated her title Alfred knew he was in some deep trouble. It made sense, really, as to why she was familiar and why her presence gave him warning signals. He’d heard about the Ace of Clubs from his mentor, the prior Ace of Spades, and nothing he could remember of their conversations was good. Never did he think that he would actually run into the other Ace, though, and the blonde knew that things would probably only continue to get worse at this point.
Surprise passed over his face as she continued to speak, but only for a moment as it soon turned to something much more serious. Alfred’s fight or flight senses were kicking in, and he knew that backing down at this point would only bring shame to his Kingdom and anger the other Ace even more. His easy going nature diminished, and he pulled out his sword from it’s sheath, holding it down in front of him. “I don’t want to fight,” he warned, “But with those skills I don’t think you could hit it even if you were standing right in front of me.” So much for not wanting to fight.
