“They were, weren’t they?” It was a reality Arthur needed to be reminded of from time to time. Things were different now, he could no longer act like how he did. He couldn’t trust people as easily. “Oh, but what fun is it not being able to fight your own battles?” Arthur joked. “Watching from the sidelines is quite boring, I’ll have you know.”
“Yeah.. and I know you want to be like the boy I met back then. I wish you could be too, but it’s just… It’s to dangerous, now, to go alone.” His tone was serious but gentle. It wasn’t like he was talking to a child, but instead it was like talking to someone he cared too much about to lose. “But if it comes down to something more large scale,” there was probably a little too much emphasis on those words, “then I will gladly work by your side, my King.
