Nightmares

England:

[ text: American Idiot  ] I would not.
[ text: American Idiot  ] You can’t blame me for that. It /sounded/ ridiculous.
[ text: American Idiot  ] Do you remember halitosis bomb? Or do you prefer gay bomb?

Arthur frowned at the response, or lack thereof. He was about ready to respond when the loud sound of a skype call blasted through his speakers. Shit! Fumbling with his phone, it fell to the floor as Arthur hurried to turn down the volume. Shit, he hoped he hadn’t woken up anyone with that. Peter would surely talk his ear out about it.

Quick to pick up the call, Alfred’s familiar face pixelated on the screen while Arthur’s uneasy one came on. He held up a finger to silently tell him to hold on a moment before he placed on his headphones and adjust the mic.

“On my first try too.” Arthur smiled, the hint of a joke about his terrible computer skills hidden behind it. “How are you?”

[text: Mr. Grumpy Gills ] Shush. That was a 1 time thing. Besides it was a good idea at the time.

Alfred gripped his “I heart Dublin” mug like it was his lifeline to the world and stared at the screen waiting for Arthur to pick up. His glasses were placed to the side, exposing the world to the dark circles that laid underneath his blue eyes, and his hair definitely looked like he just got out of bed. Finally, Arthur popped up on the chat, and he opened his mouth to speak, which got shut moments later as Arthur shushed him. So instead he brought the mug to his mouth and watched as Arthur got situated.

“I’d you can hit a green button,” he chuckled. Already seeing Arthur’s face put him a little more at ease, not like he’d ever tell the Brit that, especially since he greeted him with a smile. “Fine. Tired, but that’s nothing new right?” If his tone didn’t show how tired he was his face probably did. Sure Alfred tried to fix himself up a little before calling, but there was only so much one could do without seeming suspicious. Setting the mug down, the blonde picked up his phone and showed it to the screen. “I got to a new high score on Crossy Roads using the British school girl you love so much.”
